Concept-Based, Personalized Web Information Gathering: A Survey

چکیده
Web information gathering surfers from the problems of information mismatching and overloading. In an attempt to solve these fundamental problems, many works have proposed to use concept-based techniques to perform personalized information gathering for Web users. These works have significantly improved the performance of Web information gathering systems. In this paper, a survey is conducted on these works. The reviewed scholar report that the concept-based, personalized techniques can gather more useful and meaningful information for Web users. The survey also suggests that improvement is needed for the representation and acquisition of user profiles in personalized Web information
